Professor Clare M Knottenbelt BVSc MSc DSAM MRCVS

After graduating from Bristol in 1994, and working for a year in mixed practice, Clare was the Petsavers Resident in small animal internal medicine at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies. She obtained an MSc by Research in Feline Transfusion Medicine and the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Medicine in 1999. Clare was appointed as a lecturer at the University of Glasgow in 2000 and promoted to senior lecturer in 2006. Clare is currently a Professor of Small Animal Medicine and Oncology, Clinical Director of the Small Animal Hospital and Head of Small Animal Clinical Sciences at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Glasgow. Her interests include oncology, haematology and gastroenterology.

Our orthopaedic service, with state-of-the-art facilities, including MRI and CT scanning, and expert nursing care, provides the highest level of veterinary orthopaedic care available.  

We use the highest quality equipment and perform minimally invasive techniques where appropriate from Chihuahuas to Great Danes.  

We have special miniature fracture systems for cats and small dogs.
