Claire Donnelly graduated from Napier University, Edinburgh in July 2005 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Veterinary Nursing, which incorporated the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Nursing.
Since April 2007 she has been employed at DentalVets, a Veterinary dental and oral surgical referral clinic in North Berwick, East Lothian. Her role here as registered veterinary nurse involves sole responsibility of the nursing duties, which include a number of managerial tasks. She is also involved with the tutoring of practical courses in veterinary dentistry provided by DentalVets. Previous to this she has worked in small animal practice in Edinburgh and East Lothian.
She is currently completing the Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians program to gain the Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS Dentistry) qualification. As well as dentistry her main professional interests include anaesthesia and analgesia, and teaching. She is a member of both the British Veterinary Dental Association (BVDA) and the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA).
